As an alternative to traditional mattresses, there are many types of foam mattresses. Constructed entirely or mostly from responsive foam core. Some then have a softer comfort different foam layer on the top. Sometimes the top layer is memory foam or really firm foam depending on what feel you are going for. You should never have completely memory foam as this can have an enormous negative affect. Foam mattresses like any goods come in different grades of quality from 4” cheap and cheerful to top end luxury. Some foam mattresses are made of multiple layers of foam adhered together – these generally are best not to be rolled. While others have a foam core in the centre and can be happily rolled. Any rolled mattress takes time to come back to its original shape and size.  Foam when rolled up this normally stretches the outer cover a fraction which gives the appearance of the inner foam mattress not coming fully back to shape. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. All mattresses come in various degrees of quality and firmness to give people a greater selection for back support and comfort. Choosing between a foam mattress and a traditional mattress is based on personal preference.

Please also check your base is suitable for your new mattress – ie  if you have wooden slats on your frame, please make sure none are broken. If it is a solid top base, please make sure it is in good order, no dips, holes or broken timber frame underneath the upholstery as this will damage your new foam mattress.

Foam mattresses , by the simple fact they do not have cotton, felt & wool, may help to combat a range of allergies , and reduce irritation.  As they help with body contouring, it allows and aids pressure relief for back hips & joints alike,

The reason we roll our foam mattresses is simple , easier for storage, easier for you to place into a room of your choice. easier for transportation, which means we can get more onto a lorry than an open / fully extended mattress, therefore reducing the amount of transportation, fuel, and reducing damage to the environment giving us a better carbon footprint.

Please note that when you first have your new mattress, it can and may seem a bit too firm because it’s new. You really need to allow at least a minimum of one month for your body to get used to your new mattress and for the new mattress to take your shape and get used to your body. The mattress will mirror you and have some indentations , this is perfectly normal & correct. This is so important so you can sleep well for years. So you and your mattress work in harmony together and you get the best support and comfort – you must  also have a great pillow. This is because the mattress supports your body while the pillow supports your head. The right pillow makes a big difference. You need to make sure you and your new mattress have the right pillow that suits you both.

When your goods are ready we will let you know our next available delivery day. On that pre-arranged day, we would knock on your door (ring your bell) as we prefer to place your new mattress inside the door to your home (inside door step delivery). We take a photo as proof of delivery. If no one is in or no one answers the door, goods will NOT be left and a redelivery charge will apply.

We will only leave goods in a safe place/on a doorstep if this is your express wishes at time of order. Please be clear and allow for weather and the security of your goods as mattresses are large items and not very discreet even though they are rolled.

However, if your mattress was left anywhere that you did not yourself specify you may be able to receive a part refund or money of towards replacement with CCTV and must have a police report No as proof of the theft. Even with CCTV, it can be hard to prove who’s pinched any missing goods, but you should always report any suspected theft to the police. Unfortunately in our industry, some unscrupulous people will order goods, have them delivered, and say otherwise.
